The Convent of Saint Catherine, known also as the Preachers' Convent is very important archeological remain. It was discovered during the excavations of the old Saint Catherine Market. In the same site have been found also others religious buildings and the Late Roman necropolis with amphora, tombs, etc. Large part of this site has been conserved and opened to the public.
