Parc Güell is one of the great projects of famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. It was designed for the count Eusebi Güell, who wanted to create a suburban garden city on his old estate. Works were realized since 1900 and lasted to 1914. The only completed parts were: the grand entrance, two houses, a marvellous terrace, hall and few kilometres of paths. The project turned out to be totally unsuccessful as a real estate and in 1922 the property was sold to the City Council, who in the following year converted it to a municipal park. In the next years it became one of the most visited places in Barcelona. It was also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
