The Güell Palace is a great structure designed by the famous extraordinary Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí for the Catalan industrial tycoon Eusebi Güell, who wanted a new house in Barcelona. It was completed in 1890 and, in fact, it was the only building that Gaudí actually finished. In 1984 the Güell Palace was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unusual character and for its contribution on technique in modern structures.
