The Joan Miró Foundation was opened to the public in 1975 and it is dedicated to the famous ethnic Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramist Joan Miró. Here you find the world's most completed collection of his art. Moreover, you can also see here the exhibitions of other, current Spanish artists.
The foundation bases on two main goals: the leading is to present the work of Joan Miró and other contemporary artists who reflect the diversity of the current artistic scene. The second one is to organize concerts, courses, seminars, workshops, theatre and educational activities for the general public, families, schools and Friends of the Foundation.
