The Archaeology Museum of Catalonia was created by the Museum of Catalonia Act in 1990 and it includes as following:
The Archaeological Museum of Barcelona The Archaeological Museum of Girona The Greco-Roman city of Empúries The Iberian settlement of Ullastret The monuments of Olérdola The Submarine Archaeology Centre of Catalonia
The head office of the Museum is located in the former Palace of Graphic Arts in Barcelona.
The museum's permanent exhibition contains a wide range collection of archeological relicts, organized in chronological and geographical order. It presents the evolution of Catalonia during Prehistory and Ancient History and its origins from the first inhabitants until the Middle Ages.
